Memories of Maggie was used by Van Ness Films as the basis of television's A&E Biography titled "Martha Raye: In Love and War" which was first aired on 9 October 1999 and will be rerun on 27 January 2001. I wrote this book as a tribute to Maggie and to let the general public know what she gave up to spend time with our troops. She wanted them to know they were loved and cared for. It is full of some very special memories from Veterans around the world who felt like I did--that Maggie deserved to be honored by our government. It also tells of the process it took to get her that honor--the Presidential Medal of Freedom. This book was released by LangMarc Publishing (formerly of San Antonio) in Austin, TX.

I also wrote this book. It is a continuation of Maggie's legacy. It shows how my involvement with her life totally changed my life. In it I share my trials and tribulations of getting the first book published. Also included is a little history of the Vietnam War, information about Gold Star Mothers, Rolling Thunder, the POW-MIA issues, and profiles of some of the American women who served in the military or as civilians in Vietnam. There is a special section about those American women who died in Vietnam, not just the eight military nurses but all the civilian women. LangMarc Publishing also did this book.
